New tools are popping up all the time so we will take a look at what’s hot, what’s coming up and more importantly what ways are these technologies being used in our world of education.

There are a number of web-based formative and summative assessment tools available to educators. We will survey a few and discuss best practices in using online tools.

Anyone who manages large groups, general projects, research projects, grant projects, etc. will be interested in this topic. We will look at the methods and tools behind 21st Century educational project management.

Online or face-to-face, a Google form is a game changer with students once you learn how to maximize its use. We will look at building assessments, using add-ons, and setting up a variety of options with in the forms, along with a few hidden gems.

You’ve likely seen a TED Talk, right?. They cover the kinds of topics and use a style of presentation that make us stop and listen to the ideas. They give us time to think. They ask the essential questions. You enjoy them and so do you students. Have you considered how you might use TED Talks in your online or face-to-face course? Perhaps it is time you do.
